Job Opportunity – Operating Room Registered Nurse – Apple Valley, CA 92307

Start Date: July 14, 2026

Location: Apple Valley, California

Schedule: 3x12-hour variable day shifts, Sunday through Saturday coverage. Shift times include 06:30-19:00, 06:30-19:00 with on-call until 23:00, 09:30-22:00, and 10:30-23:00 with on-call until 07:00. Call coverage estimated at 70-90 hours per 6-week period. Weekend and holiday call required.

• 212-bed acute care hospital with 6 main OR surgical suites and 3 outpatient surgery center suites
• Diverse surgical specialties including ENT, General, OB/GYN, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic, Plastics, Podiatry, Robotics (Da Vinci Xi), Spine, Total Joints, Urology, and Vascular
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Pharmacy, Radiology, Respiratory Services, and Rapid Response Teams
• Float opportunities between main OR and outpatient surgery center with exposure to wide variety of cases
• Free parking and scrubs provided for OR staff
• Daily census of approximately 20 patients across all age groups from pediatrics to geriatrics

Requirements:

• Active California RN license (must be in hand prior to start)
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required (3 years preferred with experience in surgical procedures outlined)
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• LA fire card obtained within the last 30 days required
• Extensive skills in general OR, laparoscopic procedures, total joint replacement, robotics, and various surgical specialties
• Ability to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays (must commit to 3 of 5 major holidays)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
