Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Orange, CA 92868

Start Date: July 14, 2026

Location: Orange County, California

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30). Patient ratios of 1-2 patients. Weekend coverage may exceed every other weekend to accommodate unit needs. Orientation includes 72 hours.

• Work with diverse, complex pregnancy diagnoses including pre-eclampsia, multiples, fetal anomalies, and preterm labor
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and interpretation services
• Free parking and professional scrubs provided for labor and delivery staff
• 91-day assignment with potential for extension after 3-month gap period
• Serve neonatal and adult patient populations in a high-acuity environment

Requirements:

• Active California RN license (must be in hand prior to submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers cannot be considered
• Experience in large hospital settings highly preferred
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate (NCC EFM accepted in lieu of AWHONN Intermediate); AWHONN Advanced preferred
• Must be proficient in circulating for cesarean sections and performing sterile vaginal exams
• Competency in high-risk antepartum care, insulin drips, magnesium sulfate therapy, cervical cerclage, D&C procedures, and recognition/treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
• LA fire card obtained within 30 days prior to start date
• Commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
