Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Labor and Delivery – Fullerton, CA 92835

Start Date: July 14, 2026

Location: Southern California

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM). Patient ratio 1:2. Weekend coverage required, approximately every other weekend or more to meet unit needs. Orientation: 36-40 hours.

• 320-bed acute care hospital with a busy Labor and Delivery unit averaging 6-8 deliveries per day
• 13 labor rooms and 15 total beds, with 2 operating rooms for cesarean sections
• Comprehensive maternal and neonatal care including high-risk antepartum, VBAC, multiples, and preterm labor
• Interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
• Float opportunities to Mother Baby unit for well-rounded experience

Requirements:

• Active California RN license (must be in hand prior to start)
• Minimum 1.5-2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience required
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification (required - hard stop)
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Expert competency in sterile vaginal exams and triage - must be able to perform independently without supervision (hard stop requirement)
• Experience with effacement, dilation, station, and presentation assessment required
• Proficiency in high-risk delivery assistance, cesarean section circulation/scrub, external and internal fetal monitoring, and magnesium sulfate therapy
• LA County Fire Card within 30 days of start date
• Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
