Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Operating Room – Lubbock, TX 79410

Start Date: July 27, 2026

Location: Lubbock, Texas

Schedule: Weekend block schedule – Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 12-hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:00). 1:1 patient ratio. No call required. No floating between units.

Highlights:

• 13-week travel assignment at a 379-bed Level II Trauma Center providing short-term acute care
• Specialized weekend OR position requiring diverse surgical expertise including orthopedic, neuro, general, trauma, and robotic-assisted procedures
• Work with advanced surgical technology including Da Vinci Xi and DV5 robotic systems in a well-equipped facility
• Dedicated 12-hour orientation provided to support successful onboarding
• Free employee parking available on-site in designated surface lots
• Opportunity to work with a comprehensive range of surgical specialties including cardiothoracic, bariatric, urology, and kidney transplant

Requirements:

• Active Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; CNOR preferred
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience with at least 1 year of recent experience
• Level II Trauma Center experience required; Level I Trauma experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Demonstrated competency in orthopedic, neurosurgery, general surgery, robotic-assisted surgery (Xi/DV5), and trauma procedures
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Must reside outside 50-mile local radius or will be considered at adjusted compensation
• Commitment to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
