Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery – Anchorage, AK 99508

Start Date: July 27, 2026

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30), every other weekend required. Guaranteed 60 hours per 2-week period. This is a 13-week travel assignment through October 26, 2026.

Highlights:

• High-volume, high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit at a Magnet-designated facility recognized as the best hospital in Alaska
• Level II Trauma center with 10 LDR rooms, 10 OB Triage rooms, 3 OR suites, and 4 PACU rooms
• Average 7 deliveries daily with up to 14 patients including inductions and high-risk antepartum cases
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• Epic charting system with 40 hours of paid orientation
• Charge nurse experience preferred or opportunity to train as charge during assignment

Requirements:

• Active Alaska RN license (must be in hand prior to offer; pending licenses may be submitted for screening)
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, and AWHONN Advanced
• Epic charting experience required
• Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers and declinations not accepted)
• Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Availability to float within scope to like units as needed
