Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Santa Monica, CA 90404

Start Date: July 27, 2026

Location: Beachside acute care hospital in Santa Monica, California

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00), every other weekend required. Float to postpartum as needed. Approximately 200 deliveries per month. Facility may call off once per two-week pay period.

• No on-call required; floating to postpartum only as census demands
• Epic charting system; comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Opportunity to work with diverse patient populations requiring high levels of discretion and professionalism
• 91-day assignment with 40 hours of paid orientation

Requirements:

• Active California RN license (must be in hand prior to submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Certifications: AWHONN Advanced (or NCC EFM), ACLS, BLS, NRP, FHM (all AHA-certified)
• Epic charting experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Skills: Fetal heart monitoring, high-risk pregnancy monitoring, assist with vaginal deliveries, circulate and/or scrub for C-sections, sterile vaginal exams, newborn role at delivery
• Must be able to work in OR suite during C-sections with standard equipment
• LA fire card within the last 30 days required
• Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
