Job Opportunity – Nuclear Medicine Technologist – Orange, CA 92868
Start Date: July 14, 2026
Location: Orange, California
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 5x8-hour shifts (9:00 AM - 5:30 PM). No weekends or holidays required. Optional voluntary call available Monday-Friday 4:30 AM - 10:00 PM with 60-minute response time. Orientation shifts may begin at 8:00 AM.
Highlights:
- Work in a 426-bed Magnet-designated acute care hospital with Epic charting system
- Perform general nuclear medicine studies, PET/CT scans (non-diagnostic), and lexiscan procedures with up to 15 PET scans daily
- Monday through Friday schedule with no weekend or holiday requirements at this outpatient center
- Reduced orientation period with streamlined onboarding process
- Free parking and access to interpretation services for interdisciplinary support
- Average daily census of 8 patients in a collaborative nuclear medicine environment
Requirements:
- Active California Nuclear Medicine Technologist state license (must be in hand prior to start)
- NMTCB certification or ARRT (N) certification required; ARRT (R) also accepted
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of nuclear medicine experience required
- Previous travel healthcare experience required; no first-time travelers unless screened with at least 2 years of experience
- PET scan experience strongly preferred; training available on-site for qualified candidates
- Cardiac nuclear medicine experience preferred, especially for those interested in optional call
- Competency with IV starts and maintenance, EKGs, and PACS systems
- Experience with various nuclear medicine procedures including bone scans, brain studies, renal imaging, perfusion studies, and three-phase imaging
- LA fire card obtained within the last 30 days required
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
