Job Opportunity – Senior Sterile Processing Technician – Apple Valley, CA 92307
Start Date: July 21, 2026
Location: Apple Valley, California
Schedule: Night shift, primarily 7:00 PM – 3:30 AM and 9:30 PM – 6:00 AM; 5x8-hour shifts with variable scheduling options. On-call coverage required for weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Float between main OR and outpatient surgery center as needed.

- Senior-level position with potential shift lead responsibilities requiring strong critical thinking and independent work capabilities
- Work with advanced equipment including Da Vinci Xi robotics, Getinge and Amsco autoclaves, Steris V-Pro and System 1E sterilizers
- Acute care hospital setting with 212 staffed beds and 6 operating rooms supporting multiple surgical specialties
- Comprehensive surgical services including robotics, open heart, trauma, orthopedics, neurosurgery, and OB/GYN procedures
- Free parking provided; scrubs supplied by facility
- Epic charting system with 40 hours paid orientation
Requirements:
- 5 years sterile processing experience required; 3 years must include shift lead, precepting, or team lead experience in a hospital setting
- Previous travel healthcare experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
- Active California license and current BLS certification required
- CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA certification required
- Experience with sterilization equipment: Getinge Autoclave, Amsco Autoclave, Steris V-Pro, Steris System 1E, Getinge 86 series washer, Triton 72 ultrasonic cleaner
- Demonstrated expertise in scope reprocessing, high-level disinfection, sterile processing documentation, and robotics instrumentation
- Variable availability required with flexibility to work different shift times and on-call rotations
- Commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays and weekend shifts as needed
