Description
Job Opportunity – Mammography Technologist – Portland, OR 97213
Start Date: July 27, 2026
Location: Portland, Oregon metropolitan area
Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (09:00 - 17:30). No on-call, no weekends, no floating required. Contract duration of 140 days through December 14, 2026.
Highlights:
- Work in a 418-bed short-term acute care facility with modern equipment and Epic charting system
- Dedicated mammography unit with 5 rooms serving adult and geriatric patient populations
- Focus on screening and diagnostic mammography, 3D imaging, and breast interventional procedures
- Hologic equipment including 3D technology, Affirm BX, and Trident systems
- Supportive interdisciplinary team with interpretation services and radiology support
- 40-hour paid orientation with comprehensive onboarding
Requirements:
- Active Oregon state license or ability to obtain prior to start date
- ARRT-R and ARRT Mammography certifications required
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of mammography experience
- Proficiency with Hologic equipment required
- Experience with Epic charting system preferred
- Skills in screening and diagnostic mammograms, digital mammography, 3D mammography, and digital quality assurance procedures
- Biopsy experience including stereotactic procedures, needle localizations, and fine needle aspiration preferred but not required
- Reliable transportation required for this assignment
- Must be able to work 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
