Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical/Telemetry – Lubbock, TX 79410

Start Date: July 27, 2026

Location: Lubbock, Texas

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Weekend coverage required according to scheduling needs. Float between units as needed.

Highlights:

  • Level II Trauma Center with 379 staffed beds providing short-term acute care
  • 30-bed orthopedic trauma unit specializing in MVAs, fractures, amputations, joint replacements, and industrial accidents
  • Patient ratios of 1:5-6 with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
  • Specialized care including post-op management, blood administration, wound vac management, and orthopedic trauma care
  • 13-week travel assignment with orientation provided
  • Free employee parking available on-site

Requirements:

  • Active Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
  • Minimum 1 year of recent MS/Telemetry nursing experience required
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • BLS certification required
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Community hospital experience required; Level II Trauma experience preferred
  • Proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation and management, peripheral line care, blood product administration, phlebotomy, ortho trauma care, and wound care/wound vac management
  • Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
  • Willingness to commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
