Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Emergency Department – Tuscaloosa, AL

Start Date: July 20, 2026

Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts. Every other weekend and holidays as required. 36 or 48 hours per week available. Block scheduling options may be accommodated (Friday/Saturday/Sunday or Saturday/Sunday/Monday).

• 13-week assignment at a 54-bed state-designated Level III Trauma Center and Level II Stroke Center
• Emergency Department treating more than 60,000 patients annually with comprehensive services for all age groups
• Patient ratios range from 1:1 for critical/trauma patients to 1:3-4 for standard emergency cases
• Collaborative team environment with physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and support staff available 24/7
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week with overtime available after 48 hours
• Biweekly orientation provided with 16 hours of non-billable orientation time

Requirements:

• Active Alabama or Compact RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience (18 months may be considered with at least 1 year in emergency specialty)
• Current certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC
• Willingness to float to other units and facilities as needed
• Experience working under the highest level of professional licensure
