Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Emergency Department – Tuscaloosa, AL

Start Date: July 20, 2026

Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama

Schedule: Evening shift, 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM, 12-hour shifts. Every other weekend and holiday rotation as required. 36 or 48 hours per week available. Block scheduling options may be accommodated (Friday/Saturday/Sunday or Saturday/Sunday/Monday).

• 54-bed Emergency Department at a state-designated Level III Trauma Center and Level II Stroke Center
• High-volume facility treating more than 60,000 patients annually
• Patient ratios ranging from 1:1 for critical/trauma cases to 1:3-4 for general emergency patients
• 13-week assignment with guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Comprehensive emergency services for all age groups with a multidisciplinary care team
• Biweekly orientation with 16 hours of non-billable onboarding

Requirements:

• Active Alabama or Compact RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree required
• Minimum 18 months to 2 years of RN experience working under professional license, with at least 1 year in emergency department specialty
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
• Willingness to float to other units and facilities as needed
• Proficiency with Meditech charting system preferred
