Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Orange, CA 92868

Start Date: July 28, 2026

Location: Orange County, Southern California

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Weekend coverage may exceed every other weekend to accommodate unit needs. Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays.

426-bed acute care hospital with Magnet designation
High-acuity Labor and Delivery unit caring for complex pregnancy diagnoses including pre-eclampsia, multiples, IUFD, fetal anomalies, and preterm labor
Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and interpretation services
Epic charting system with free parking provided
72-hour orientation to support your transition to the unit
Assignment duration of 91 days

Requirements:

Active California RN license (must be in hand prior to submission)
Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers cannot be considered
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate (NCC EFM certification accepted in place of Intermediate AWHONN); AWHONN Advanced preferred
Must be able to circulate for cesarean sections
Experience in large hospital settings highly preferred
Proficiency in all core Labor and Delivery skills including assisting with high-risk and vaginal deliveries, D&C, cervical cerclage, magnesium sulfate therapy, insulin drips, external fetal monitoring, and recognition of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
LA fire card within the last 30 days required
