Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Operating Room – Santa Monica, CA 90404

Start Date: August 3, 2026

Location: Santa Monica, California

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (10:30 AM - 11:00 PM). Various shift times available including 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM, 6:00 AM - 7:00 PM, and 10:30 AM - 11:00 PM. 30-minute lunch break with two 15-minute breaks. On-call required: 2 primary weekday calls (10:30 PM - 6:00 AM) and 2 primary weekend calls (12-hour shifts) per 6-week call cycle, plus secondary call coverage.

• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• 91-day travel assignment with potential for block scheduling per manager discretion
• Scrubs provided for OR staff

Requirements:

• Active California RN license (must be in hand prior to submission; pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• LA County fire card within the last 30 days required
• CRITICAL: Must have orthopedic/total joint experience (knees and hips including Hana Table experience); this is a hard requirement
• Strong experience with ORIF procedures, general/GYN/urology cases, Da Vinci Xi robotic surgery (general/GYN/urology/thoracic), ENT/plastics/eyes, spine procedures (laminectomies, discectomies, fusions, ACDF, XLIF, ALIF, TLIF), neuro cases (burr holes, transphenoidals, craniotomies), and thoracic/vascular procedures
• Experience with laparoscopic-assisted procedures, total joint replacements, and various surgical specialties
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Willingness to float between facilities within California as needed
