Description

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical Neuro – Albuquerque, NM 87102

Start Date: August 17, 2026

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM), 36 or 48 hours per week with overtime available after 48 hours. Six weekend shifts required within a six-week period. No call required.

Highlights:

13-week travel assignment on a 32-bed Medical Surgical Neuro unit
Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 with rapid response team support
First-time travelers welcome with one year of recent experience
Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, and more
Floating to like units only; no call requirements
24-36 hours of orientation provided

Requirements:

Active RN license (New Mexico or Compact state license; pending accepted if obtained prior to start)
BLS certification required
NIHSS certification required (pending acceptable)
CPI certification preferred
Minimum one year of recent Medical Surgical or Neuro nursing experience
Experience with 1:6 patient ratios and Epic charting preferred
Must reside at least 50 miles from the area
