Description

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, ICU – Orange, CA 92868

Start Date: August 11, 2026

Location: Orange, California

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM). Patient ratio 1:2. Every other weekend required, may exceed to accommodate unit needs. Floating to similar units up to 100% of shifts may be required.

Highlights:

  • 426-bed acute care Magnet-designated hospital with 20-bed ICU unit
  • High-acuity ICU environment caring for diverse patient diagnoses including respiratory failure, cardiac surgery, stroke, sepsis, and multi-system organ failure
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and lift teams
  • Advanced equipment and procedures including IABP, CRRT, ventricular assist devices, and continuous EEG monitoring
  • Epic charting system with free parking provided
  • 91-day assignment with guaranteed hours (facility may call off once per two-week pay period)

Requirements:

  • Active California RN license (must be in hand prior to start)
  • Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required; high-acuity ICU experience highly preferred
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
  • Experience with 1:2 patient ratios
  • Epic charting experience preferred
  • Community hospital experience required
  • Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
  • LA fire card obtained within the last 30 days required
  • Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
