Description

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Trauma ICU – Tyler, TX 75701

Start Date: August 10, 2026

Location: Tyler, Texas

Schedule: Days, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00). Patient ratio 1:2. Float to ICU, IMC, and Telemetry as needed. Approximately half of weekend shifts per contract required.

  • Level I Trauma ICU experience with 14 rooms and 16 beds
  • Epic charting system utilized throughout the unit
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
  • 91-day travel assignment with orientation provided
  • Adult patient population in a specialized trauma critical care environment
  • Opportunity to work with advanced critical care equipment and complex trauma cases

Requirements:

  • Active RN license (state or compact license required at time of submission)
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
  • Level I Trauma ICU experience required
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (PALS and TNCC preferred)
  • Demonstrated competency in BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, ventilated patient care, central line management, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV insertion and maintenance
  • Experience with ICP monitoring and ventilator management preferred
  • Must not reside in the following Texas counties: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris
