Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Intermediate Care (IMC/Step Down) – Lubbock, TX 79410

Start Date: August 10, 2026

Location: Lubbock, Texas

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 13-week assignment. Weekend coverage required (6 per schedule period). Floating between units may be required.

  • Level II Trauma Center with 379 staffed beds providing short-term acute care
  • Patient ratios of 1:4 on night shift in a progressive care environment
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
  • Opportunity to work with diverse patient populations including cardiac, trauma, post-surgical, and critical care patients

Requirements:

  • Active RN license (Compact license required at time of submission)
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
  • Level II Trauma Center experience required; Level I Trauma experience preferred
  • Experience with 1:4 patient ratios required
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS required
  • Epic charting system experience preferred
  • Essential clinical skills: cardiac drips, post-cardiac catheterization care, tracheostomy/ventilator management, telemetry monitoring, arterial line management, central line care, vasoactive drip titration, and post-cardiac surgery care
  • Experience with TAVR, Watchman procedures, TR bands, sheaths, and cardiac interventions preferred
  • Two professional references covering one year of experience within the last three years
  • Clean background check required
