Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Neuro Telemetry – Lubbock, TX 79410

Start Date: August 24, 2026

Location: Lubbock, Texas

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00), 91-day assignment. Six weekend shifts required per six-week schedule. Floating between units may be required.

Highlights:

  • Work in a 379-bed Level II Trauma Center with a Comprehensive Stroke Center designation
  • 29-bed Neuro Telemetry unit with daily census of 27 patients and a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio (1:5 on weekends)
  • Specialized Epilepsy Monitoring Unit with 4 dedicated beds for continuous EEG monitoring
  • Interdisciplinary team approach with dedicated mentors, IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
  • Care for diverse patient populations including stroke, trauma, neurosurgical, and epilepsy patients
  • EPIC electronic health record system in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Requirements:

  • Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license accepted and must be in hand at submission)
  • Minimum 1 year of recent MS/Telemetry or Neuro Stepdown experience required
  • Current BLS certification
  • Experience with telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and neurosurgical patient care
  • Proficiency with electronic charting systems; EPIC experience preferred
  • Level II Trauma Center and community hospital experience preferred
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
