Job Opportunity – Radiation Therapist – Lubbock, TX 79410

Start Date: August 24, 2026

Location: Lubbock, Texas

Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (07:00 - 15:00), Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-3pm. No on-call, no weekends required. Patient ratio: 20 patients to 1 Radiation Therapist. 13-week assignment (91 days).

Highlights:

  • Work at a 181-bed Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with a robust radiation oncology program
  • Rotate among multiple treatment modalities including brachytherapy, EBRT, SBRT, SRS, and FSRT on Gamma Knife
  • Utilize state-of-the-art equipment including Elekta Linear Accelerators (Infinity and VersaHD), Gamma Knife ICON, HDR Flexitron, and GE Discovery CT/Simulator
  • Join a collaborative team of 7 full-time Radiation Therapists in an excellent provider environment
  • Work with Elekta Mosaiq Record and Verify System integrated with Epic electronic medical record
  • Free parking in unrestricted spaces with bike racks available

Requirements:

  • Active Texas state license (must be in hand at submission)
  • ARRT-R (Radiation Therapy) certification required
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist; at least 1 year required
  • Experience with external beam therapy, IMRT, CT simulation, electron beam therapy, and radiation safety
  • Proficiency with Elekta equipment, CBCT/kV/mV imaging, chart checks, and patient/family teaching
  • Experience with both adult and pediatric outpatient populations
  • Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
