Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, CVICU – Albuquerque, NM 87102

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico

Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (18:30 - 07:00). Option of 36 or 48 hours per week. Patient ratio 1:2.

Highlights:

• Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit specializing in cardiac surgery and critical care
• 16-bed unit with a daily census of approximately 10 patients
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• 24-hour orientation with onsite module completion
• 13-week assignment with competitive travel nursing compensation
• Opportunity to work with advanced cardiac technologies including IABP, ECMO, and ventricular assist devices

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license (New Mexico or Compact license accepted; must be obtained prior to start)
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required at time of submission
• Experience with patient ratio of 1:2
• Proficiency in arterial line management, ventilator management, cardiac drip titration, and post-cardiac surgery care
• Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
