Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit – Pocatello, ID 83201

Start Date: August 24, 2026

Location: Pocatello, Idaho

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15). Patient ratio typically 1:3 or 1:4. Six weekend shifts per contract required.

Highlights:

  • 24-bed Progressive Care/Stepdown/Telemetry unit in a comprehensive stroke center and Level II Trauma facility
  • Care for complex patients including post-PCI and open-heart surgery cases at a Chest Pain Accredited facility
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
  • 13-week assignment with up to two pre-approved time-off periods
  • First-time travelers accepted with minimum one year of experience
  • 24-36 hours of orientation provided

Requirements:

  • Active RN license (state or compact) required at time of application
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Experience with 1:4 patient ratios
  • Skills required: blood product administration, central line care/management, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, cardiac and vasoactive drip management (no titration), non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions, and use of rapid response/code teams
  • Must reside outside 100-mile radius from facility
