Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Topeka, KS 66606
Start Date: August 26, 2026
Location: Topeka, Kansas
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Option for 36 or 48 hours per week. Weekend requirement of 6 shifts in 6 weeks or every third weekend. 13-week assignment.
Highlights:
- Postpartum Couplet Care unit providing comprehensive mother-baby care
- High-risk labor and delivery experience with gestations 34 weeks and greater
- Exposure to diverse patient conditions including pre-eclampsia, diabetes, and other high-risk obstetrical cases
- Supportive environment with Level 2 Special Care Nursery on-site
- First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience and certifications
- Floating to postpartum units as needed based on facility requirements
Requirements:
- Active Kansas or Compact RN license required at time of submission
- Current BLS, AWHONN (Fetal Heart Monitoring), and NRP certifications required in hand at submission
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience preferred
- Epic charting system experience preferred
- Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
- Competency in labor and delivery skills including fetal monitoring, cesarean section assistance, postpartum care, and newborn assessment
