Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Renal Unit – Tuscaloosa, AL

Start Date: August 17, 2026

Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts, every other weekend and holidays as required. 36 or 48 hours per week available. 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio.

Highlights:

• 13-week assignment in a 36-bed specialized Renal Unit caring for patients with acute and chronic kidney disease
• Specialize in post-hemodialysis and ongoing peritoneal dialysis care with collaborative team approach
• Work alongside community nephrologists, family practice providers, and hospitalists to deliver comprehensive patient care
• Biweekly orientation with 16 hours of non-billable onboarding; unit offers positions based on profile review
• Opportunity for overtime after 48 hours per week
• Flexibility to work either 36 or 48 hours per week based on your preference

Requirements:

• Active Alabama RN license or Compact state license (temporary licenses not accepted)
• AHA or ARC BLS certification required
• Minimum 18 months of RN experience; 2 years preferred, with at least 1 year in specialty area
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree required
• Must be willing to float to other units and facilities as needed
• Must pass Dysrhythmia Basic exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed)
