Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Cardiac ICU – Tuscaloosa, AL

Start Date: August 31, 2026

Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts. Every other weekend and holidays as required. 36 or 48 hours per week available. 13-week assignment with biweekly orientation.

Highlights:

• Work in an 8-bed high-acuity Cardiac Intensive Care Unit providing specialized care for adult cardiac patients
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes in a safe, secure environment
• Receive patients from Cath Lab, Emergency Department, and Acute Care areas requiring complex cardiac monitoring and treatment
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week with overtime available after 48 hours
• Competitive compensation for a 13-week contract with potential for extension

Requirements:

• Active Alabama or Compact state RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree required
• AHA or ARC BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required; PALS required if working in pediatric unit
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience (18 months may be considered with 1 year in specialty area)
• Must pass Dysrhythmia Basic exam during onboarding (2 attempts permitted)
• Willingness to float to other units and facilities as needed
• Experience with Meditech charting system preferred
