Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Mother-Baby / Postpartum – Santa Monica, CA 90404

Start Date: August 31, 2026

Location: Santa Monica, California – beachside acute care setting

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00), 13-week assignment

• Utilize Epic charting system in a modern postpartum and mother-baby unit
• Comprehensive orientation provided to ensure successful transition
• Opportunity to work with a collaborative interdisciplinary team in obstetrics
• Local candidates accepted for this travel assignment

Requirements:

• Active California RN license (must be in hand prior to submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Mother-Baby or Postpartum nursing experience
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Experience with Epic or similar electronic charting systems preferred
• Proficiency in postpartum care including discharge teaching, newborn assessment, phototherapy, thermoregulation, breastfeeding instruction, and postpartum hemorrhage management
• Skills in post-epidural management, pain assessment, bladder assessment/Foley catheter insertion, and episiotomy/incision care
• Experience with vaginal delivery and cesarean section postpartum care
• LA County fire card within the last 30 days required
• Two professional references covering one year of experience within the last three years
• Willingness to float between facilities within the state as needed
• Commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays during assignment period
