Job Opportunity – Critical Care Registered Nurse – Chicago, IL 60631

Start Date: August 31, 2026

Location: Chicago, Illinois

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM; every other weekend and every other holiday required; 12-hour shifts with overtime after 40 hours

• Opportunity to work with complex patient populations including CABG, stroke, and sepsis management
• Exposure to advanced critical care procedures and technology including CRRT, IABP, and Impella
• Two positions available for qualified critical care nurses

Requirements:

• Current RN license in Illinois
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• EPIC electronic medical record experience required
• Critical care experience with CRRT, CABG, stroke, and TNK administration
• Proficiency in bedside procedures including intubation/extubation, central line placement, arterial line placement, chest tube insertion, thoracentesis, TEEs, and cardioversions
• Experience managing ventilators, BiPAP/AVAPS, and patients on multiple vasoactive medications
• Knowledge of invasive hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation (CO/CI/SVV/CVP/SvO2)
• Experience with general surgical, neuro surgical, cath lab, and interventional radiology patients
• Ability to float to other units as needed based on census
• Preferred: Open heart experience, comprehensive stroke procedures (EVD, thrombectomy), assist devices (IABP, Impella, CRRT Prisma), prone positioning, and paralytic management
