Description

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Operating Room – Amarillo, TX 79106

Start Date: August 31, 2026

Location: Amarillo, Texas

Schedule: 4x10 hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM) with rotating days off. Rotating call required. 15 operating rooms with approximately 36 visits per day.

Highlights:

13-week travel assignment in the Texas Panhandle region
Comprehensive operating room experience with diverse surgical specialties including general, ortho/spine, and ambulatory procedures
First-time travelers welcome with supportive orientation program
Epic charting system utilized for documentation
Interdisciplinary team support including pharmacy, respiratory services, radiology, and rapid response teams
Two pre-approved time off periods available during contract

Requirements:

Active Registered Nurse license (Texas or Compact state license required at time of submission)
Minimum 1 year of Operating Room nursing experience
Current BLS certification
Epic charting system experience required
Must reside outside of 50-mile radius from the area
Proficiency in various surgical procedures including laparoscopic cases, joint replacements, general surgery, and ortho/spine procedures
Experience with all patient age groups: pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
