Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical – Topeka, KS 66606

Start Date: August 26, 2026

Location: Topeka, Kansas

Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Flexible scheduling with options for 36 or 48 hours per week. Four weekend shifts required per six-week schedule. Patient ratio 1:5.

Highlights:

• 13-week travel assignment on a progressive Medical Surgical unit
• Comprehensive patient population including post-surgical bariatrics, orthopedics, neurosurgery, oncology, and medical overflow
• Supportive interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• 29-bed unit with daily census of 20-25 patients
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• First-time travelers welcome with one year of experience

Requirements:

• Valid Kansas or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum one year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Experience with 1:5 patient ratios
• Proficiency in core Med/Surg skills including IV management, telemetry monitoring, wound care, blood product administration, and post-operative care
• Willingness to float to like units as needed
• Must reside outside 50-mile radius from the area
