Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Albuquerque, NM 87109

Start Date: September 14, 2026

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico

Schedule: Day shift, 4x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30), with options for 36 or 48 hours per week. 2:1 patient ratio. 4-6 weekend shifts required per 6-week period.

Highlights:

• 13-week travel assignment in a busy Labor and Delivery unit with 15 beds and 100-200 facility births per month
• First-time travelers welcome; 3 years of experience preferred
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams
• Scrubs provided by the facility
• 36-hour orientation to ensure smooth transition into the unit
• Work with neonatal and adult patient populations in a supportive environment

Requirements:

• Active RN license (New Mexico or Compact state license; pending licenses accepted if obtained prior to start date)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate (pending certifications acceptable)
• Experience with 2:1 patient ratios and electronic charting systems
• Clinical skills including antepartum care, assisting with vaginal and high-risk deliveries, circulating for C-sections, recovering C-section patients, triage of obstetrical patients, external fetal monitoring, and sterile vaginal exams
• Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
