Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical/Telemetry – Athens, TX 75751

Start Date: September 8, 2026

Location: Athens, Texas

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Patient ratio 1:5. 12-hour orientation provided.

Highlights:

• 77-day travel assignment in a 36-bed medical-surgical/telemetry unit with daily census of 18-25 patients
• Epic charting system with telemetry monitoring on the unit
• Interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, rapid response teams, and unit secretaries
• Care for diverse patient populations including adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• One pre-approved time off period available during contract

Requirements:

• Active RN license (state or compact license required at time of submission)
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with patient ratios of 5-6 patients
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, IV management, cardiac drips, dysrhythmia interpretation, and medical-surgical nursing skills
• Must complete core compliance items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
• Geographic restrictions apply to certain local counties
