Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, ICU – Athens, TX 75751

Start Date: September 8, 2026

Location: Athens, Texas

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12 or 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00). Block scheduling approved. 8-week assignment with 24-36 hours of orientation. Patient ratio 1:2 in a 10-bed unit with average daily census of 8 patients.

• Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy

• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations in a critical care environment
• Collaborative team environment with physical therapy, radiology, social services, and interpretation services support
• One pre-approved time off period available during contract

Requirements:

• Active Texas RN license or compact license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required; TNCC preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with patient ratios of 2:1 or 3:1
• Proficiency in critical care skills including ventilator management, arterial line management, vasoactive drip titration, central line care, and blood product administration
• Must complete core compliance items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
