Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Orange, CA 92868

Start Date: September 15, 2026

Location: Orange County, California

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Patient ratios of 1-2 patients. Weekend coverage may exceed every other weekend to accommodate unit needs. Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).

  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
  • Epic charting system with 72 hours of orientation provided

  • Care for diverse, complex patient populations including pre-eclampsia, multiples, fetal anomalies, preterm labor, and diabetes in pregnancy
  • Exposure to advanced procedures including cesarean sections, vaginal deliveries, cervical cerclage, D&C, and version

Requirements:

  • Active California RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at time of submission)
  • Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience in a large hospital setting (required)
  • Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers cannot be considered
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate (NCC EFM certification accepted in place of Intermediate AWHONN); AWHONN Advanced preferred
  • Must be able to circulate for cesarean sections and perform sterile vaginal exams
  • Proficiency in high-risk antepartum care, magnesium sulfate therapy, insulin drips, external fetal monitoring, and recognition/treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
  • Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
  • Clean background check required
