Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Neuro ICU – Tyler, TX 75701

Start Date: September 8, 2026

Location: Tyler, Texas

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Patient ratio of 2:1. Weekend coverage required approximately half of the contract period. Float to ICU/IMC/Tele as needed.

Highlights:

• 13-week travel assignment in a 16-bed Neuro ICU with a daily census of 14 patients
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• Work with advanced neurological conditions including traumatic brain injury, CVA/acute stroke, post-craniotomy, and spinal cord injury patients
• Epic charting system experience required
• Orientation provided with modules completed onsite
• One pre-approved time off period available

Requirements:

• Active RN license (state or compact license must be in hand at time of submittal)
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience preferred
• Neuro ICU experience required
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Core competencies: blood product administration, ventilated patient care, central line management, CVA/acute stroke management, EVD, ICP monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, lumbar drains, hypothermia protocol, post-neurosurgery management
• Must complete core items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
• Geographic restriction: Candidates residing in certain local counties are not eligible for this position
