Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, PACU – Santa Monica, CA 90404

Start Date: September 14, 2026

Location: Beachside acute care hospital in Santa Monica, California

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts with variable start times between 09:00-11:00, Monday through Friday, plus an average of 6 on-call shifts per six-week schedule period. On-call shifts include a blend of weeknight coverage (23:30-08:00) and 12-hour weekend shifts (08:00-20:00 or 20:00-08:00). Assignment duration is 91 days (approximately 13 weeks).

• Daily census of approximately 40 patients across all age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• First-time travelers welcome; 40 hours of orientation provided
• Opportunity to work with advanced PACU skills including arterial line management, ventilated patients, and dysrhythmia recognition

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Experience with Phase I and Phase II PACU recovery
• Proficiency in arterial line management, central venous pressure monitoring, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, and care of ventilated patients
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
