Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse – South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150

Start Date: September 21, 2026

Location: South Lake Tahoe, California – nestled at nearly 6,200 feet above sea level on the beautiful south shore of Lake Tahoe

Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM start time, 36 guaranteed hours per week. 13-week assignment through December 19, 2026.

Highlights:

• Work in an intimate 8-bed unit with approximately 300 births annually in a Level III Trauma Center
• Comprehensive perinatal nursing role including triage, labor and delivery, postpartum, and nursery care – nurses do it all
• Care for high-risk patients including preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, and twin pregnancies (no deliveries before 35 weeks)
• Day shift responsibilities include outpatient fetal stress testing
• Opportunity to develop lactation and advanced nursery skills with support from onsite RN/LCs
• Charge rate differential available (+$5.00)

Requirements:

• Current California RN license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required; 5+ years preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Heart Monitoring (NCC or AWHONN accepted)
• STABLE certification preferred
• Significant neonatal resuscitation experience required
• Ability to independently provide care, including attending cesarean sections and recovering both mother and baby
• Proficiency with electronic medical record documentation
• Completion of all required health screenings and background checks (note: THC oral swab administered on first day)
