Description
Job Opportunity – Nuclear Medicine Technologist – Eureka, CA 95501
Start Date: September 21, 2026
Location: Eureka, California
Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (07:00 - 15:30), with call coverage as needed. Weekend call only. Float to outpatient department as needed.
Highlights:
- 26-week travel assignment with reduced orientation requirements
- Work with advanced imaging technology including PET scans and multiple nuclear medicine procedures
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams
- Epic charting system experience preferred
- One pre-approved time off period available
- Holiday commitment: must work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
Requirements:
- Active California state license or compact license (must be in hand at time of submission)
- ARRT-N and/or NMTCB certification required; CNMT certification also accepted
- Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience; at least 1 year required
- Proficiency in 3-phase studies, exercise/rest protocols, gastric emptying, HIDA scans, PET scans, ventilation/perfusion studies, and whole body imaging
- Experience with IV starts and maintenance, isolation precautions/PPE, and proper handling/disposal of radioactive materials
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
- Clean background check required
