Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Napa, CA 94558

Start Date: September 21, 2026

Location: Napa, California

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00). Weekend coverage required to meet department needs. Potential for on-call shifts depending on census. 40 hours of orientation provided.

• 13-week travel assignment at a 200-bed acute care hospital in beautiful Napa Valley
• Patient ratios of 1:2 in a 5-bed Labor & Delivery unit with daily census of 2-3 patients and approximately 15 visits per day
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams
• Free parking provided for all staff
• First-time travelers welcome with minimum 1 year of experience
• Guaranteed hours with minimal call-off (facility may call off once per two-week pay period)

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact license accepted; must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• Current certifications: BLS and NRP required; ACLS, AWHONN (Advanced or Intermediate) preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Proficiency in sterile vaginal exams (required hard stop skill)
• Experience with labor and delivery procedures including fetal monitoring, neonatal resuscitation, vaginal delivery assistance, C-section circulation/recovery, and postpartum care
• Ability to float to postpartum unit as needed
• Clean background check required; no exceptions for background findings
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
