Job Opportunity – Physical Therapist, Acute Care – Milwaukie, OR 97222

Start Date: September 14, 2026

Location: Milwaukie, Oregon

Schedule: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (08:00 - 18:00), with 2-3 weekend days per month on average. No on-call required. Approximately 8 patient visits per day with a daily census of 30 patients.

Highlights:

• Short-term acute care teaching hospital with 59 staffed beds
• Primary assignment on Medical-Surgical unit with float opportunities to ICU, ED, and Acute Stroke Unit as needed
• Collaborative interdisciplinary team including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams
• Epic charting system with 40 hours of paid orientation
• Diverse patient population including post-surgical total joint replacements, failure to thrive, post-fall, and stroke rehabilitation patients
• 91-day assignment with competitive travel package

Requirements:

• Valid Oregon physical therapy license (compact license accepted)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of acute care physical therapy experience required
• Previous travel experience strongly preferred
• Must be comfortable working independently as the sole PT on shift at times
• Experience with gait training, assistive devices, post-operative care, and geriatric populations
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
