Description
Job Opportunity – Occupational Therapist, Acute Care – Portland, OR 97225
Start Date: September 14, 2026
Location: Portland, Oregon metropolitan area
Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (07:00 - 15:00), 13-week assignment. Weekend coverage required, approximately 4 weekend days per month. Block scheduling required. Floating between units required.
Highlights:
- Short-term acute care teaching hospital with 536 staffed beds
- Daily census of approximately 165 patients serving adult and geriatric populations
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams
- Epic charting system utilized throughout the facility
- Free parking provided for staff
- 40 hours of orientation to support your transition
Requirements:
- Active Oregon state license or compact license (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Current BLS certification and NBCOT certification required
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient acute care hospital experience (hard requirement – no exceptions)
- Epic charting system experience required
- Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Clean background check required
