Description

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, NICU – Santa Rosa, CA 95405

Start Date: September 21, 2026

Location: Santa Rosa, California

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00). On-call and weekend coverage required. Guaranteed hours with facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.

Highlights:

  • Level III NICU experience with 12-bed unit caring for neonates 27 weeks and above
  • Attend high-risk deliveries and perform neonatal resuscitation in delivery rooms and OR settings
  • Work in a 277-bed acute care hospital utilizing Epic charting system
  • Patient ratio of 3:1 with daily census of 3-6 patients
  • Interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, social services, and interpretation services
  • Free parking provided with 24-40 hours of orientation

Requirements:

  • Active Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
  • Minimum 1 year of NICU Level III experience required; 3 years preferred
  • Current BLS and NRP certifications required
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Must be able to attend deliveries and perform neonatal admissions and resuscitation
  • Experience with patient ratio of 2:1 or similar
  • Proficiency in NICU skills including umbilical line management, respiratory support, thermoregulation, and care of premature neonates 29-34 weeks
  • First-time travelers accepted; local candidates within 50-mile radius considered at adjusted rate
  • Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years required
