Job Opportunity – Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150

Start Date: August 31, 2026

Location: South Lake Tahoe, California

Schedule: 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM start), 36 guaranteed hours per week. 89-day assignment through November 28, 2026. Block scheduling available when possible.

Work in a beautiful Lake Tahoe community at nearly 6,200 feet elevation
48-bed long-term care unit with a mix of LTC residents and short-term rehabilitation patients
Average census of 42 patients with supportive team staffing including RNs, LPNs, and nursing assistants
Collaborative multidisciplinary care environment focused on individualized resident care
Professional dress code with colorful scrubs and prints encouraged
Travel assignment with comprehensive support and onboarding

Requirements:

Current California LVN/LPN license (must be verified through Nursys)
Minimum 2 years of experience as an LPN in a Long-Term Care setting
Active BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association (Healthcare Provider level)
Completion of an accredited Vocational or Practical Nursing program
Immunizations: MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, TDAP, TB test, and seasonal influenza (or declinations where applicable)
COVID-19 vaccination or declination documentation
Successful completion of background check, OIG, and SAM screening
9-panel drug screen (THC not tested in pre-employment screening; oral swab for THC performed on day one)
Specialty competency exam with 80% passing score and Joint Commission training
Respiratory fit test completed within 12 months
