Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Fullerton, CA 92835

Start Date: September 15, 2026

Location: Fullerton, California

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30). Weekend coverage required, typically every other weekend but may exceed to meet unit needs. Patient ratio 1:2. Average daily census of 6-8 deliveries.

• 320-bed acute care hospital with a 15-bed Labor and Delivery unit featuring 13 rooms and 2 operating rooms
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams
• Diverse patient population including labor, induction, preeclampsia, TOLAC, VBAC, multiples, preterm labor, and high-risk antepartum cases
• Opportunity to provide couplet care with potential to float to Mother Baby unit
• First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience level

Requirements:

• Active Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 1.5 years of Labor and Delivery experience required; 2 years preferred
• Current certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced (required), BLS, and NRP
• Epic charting system experience required
• Expert-level competency in performing sterile vaginal exams independently without supervision (required)
• Triage experience required
• Proficiency in fetal monitoring, high-risk deliveries, C-section circulation/scrubbing, postpartum care, and newborn assessment
• Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
