Job Opportunity – Inpatient Pharmacist – Topeka, KS 66606

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Location: Topeka, Kansas

Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (shift times will vary, typically 07:00 - 15:00). 13-week assignment with 2 positions available. 8 weekend shifts required per contract (4 weekends). Daily census of approximately 100 patients.

Highlights:

• Inpatient pharmacy role in a community hospital setting serving diverse patient populations including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Epic charting system experience required
• First-time travelers welcome with 2 years of experience preferred
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
• 36 hours of orientation provided with 24 hours of hands-on training
• One pre-approved time off period available during assignment

Requirements:

• Active Kansas state pharmacy license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• PharmD or RPh degree required
• BLS and ACLS certifications current and in hand
• 2 years of pharmacy experience preferred
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Skills in anticoagulation therapy, high-alert medications, IV push medications, pediatric dosing, pharmacokinetic dosing, Pyxis, renal dosing, sterile technique, therapeutic medication monitoring, and warfarin dosing
• Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
