Description

Job Opportunity – Speech-Language Pathologist – Topeka, KS 66606

Start Date: October 21, 2026

Location: Topeka, Kansas

Schedule: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM). Assignment duration is 13 weeks. Daily caseload of 10-14 patients across inpatient rehabilitation and acute care settings.

Highlights:

Work in an 18-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit with average daily census of 8-9 rehab patients
45-minute treatment sessions allowing for comprehensive patient care
Treat diverse patient populations including stroke, Parkinson's, neurological conditions, and swallowing/cognitive deficits
Adult and geriatric patient age groups
First-time travelers welcome with at least 1 year of experience
One pre-approved time off period available during assignment

Requirements:

Valid Kansas Speech-Language Pathology license required at time of submission
BLS certification required
Minimum 1 year of speech-language pathology experience
Experience with Epic charting system required
Proficiency in evaluations and treatments for patients with swallowing, language, and cognitive deficits
Skills in dysphagia management, bedside swallow evaluations, modified barium swallow studies, and augmentative/alternative communication
Must reside at least 50 miles from the assignment location
