Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Santa Monica, CA 90404

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Location: Santa Monica, California – beachside acute care hospital setting

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00), every other weekend required. 13-week assignment through December 28, 2026. May float to postpartum as needed. Facility may call off once per two-week pay period.

Highlights:

• 266-bed acute care hospital with approximately 200 deliveries per month in a beautiful beachside location
• Comprehensive perinatal unit with 4 antepartum rooms, 9 labor/high-risk rooms, and 3 triage rooms
• No on-call required; work includes fetal heart monitoring, high-risk pregnancy monitoring, C-sections, and vaginal deliveries
• Epic charting system with interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams
• Opportunity to provide couplet care in postpartum and newborn role at delivery when needed
• Patient population includes neonates, adolescents, and adults with emphasis on privacy and discretion

Requirements:

• Active California RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, FHM, and either AWHONN Advanced or NCC EFM (AHA certifications required for ACLS/BLS)
• Epic charting experience required; community hospital experience required
• Skills must include: assist with vaginal delivery, circulate for C-section, high-risk antepartum care, sterile vaginal exam; scrub for C-section is a bonus
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years required
