Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Outpatient Surgery – Santa Rosa, CA 95405

Start Date: September 21, 2026

Location: Santa Rosa, California

Schedule: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (primarily 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, occasionally 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM). Monday through Friday only – no weekends, no holidays, no call. Flexible start times between 6:00 AM and 8:30 AM depending on daily assignment. PACU nurses are expected to stay until the end of the day as there is no shift relief.

Highlights:

• Work exclusively weekdays with no weekend, holiday, or call requirements
• Outpatient surgery setting with Pre-Op, PACU Phase I, and Phase II recovery responsibilities
• Manageable daily census of approximately 10 patients across 4 rooms
• Diverse surgical specialties including general, orthopedic, urology, ENT, ophthalmology, plastics, and podiatry
• All patients are outpatient and discharged home same-day
• 13-week travel assignment at an acute care facility

Requirements:

• Active California RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of recent outpatient surgery or PACU experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Experience with pre-op assessment, conscious sedation, procedural sedation monitoring, Phase I and Phase II PACU care
• Competency with all patient age groups: pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Willingness to float to Main PACU if needed
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• First-time travelers accepted
