Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Rehabilitation – Tyler, TX 75701

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Tyler, Texas

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00), 70-day assignment. Patient ratio 1:7. May float to long-term acute care or other units to manage med-surg patients. Weekend coverage required (4 weekend shifts per contract).

Highlights:

• Work in a dedicated inpatient rehabilitation facility specializing in stroke recovery, orthopedic surgeries, brain injuries, and debilitated patients requiring comprehensive rehabilitation services
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including physicians, therapists, and support staff to develop individualized care plans
• Access to state-of-the-art rehabilitation technologies, fully equipped therapy rooms, and advanced equipment for patient recovery
• Emphasis on family involvement, patient education, and evidence-based practices to support optimal patient outcomes
• Daily census of approximately 35 patients across a 48-bed facility with comprehensive support services including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• 12-hour orientation provided with Epic charting system

Requirements:

• Active RN license (state or compact license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience preferred
• Travel nursing experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, and NIHSS
• Epic charting system experience required
• LTAC experience preferred; charge experience preferred
• Proficiency in rehabilitation nursing skills including CVA care, orthopedic trauma, traumatic brain injury, tracheostomy care, wound management, IV therapy, and feeding tube management
• Candidates must not reside in the following Texas counties: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris
