Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Santa Monica, CA 90404

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Location: Beachside acute care hospital in Santa Monica, California

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00), every other weekend required. May float to postpartum as needed. Facility may call off once per two-week pay period.

Highlights:

• 266-bed acute care hospital with beachside location serving approximately 200 deliveries per month
• Unit includes 4 antepartum rooms, 9 labor/high-risk rooms, and 3 triage rooms
• No on-call requirement; Epic charting system
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• Opportunity to work with diverse patient populations including neonates, adolescents, and adults in a high-privacy environment
• 40 hours of orientation provided

Requirements:

• Active California RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA), NRP, Fetal Heart Monitoring, and either AWHONN Advanced or NCC EFM
• Epic charting system experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Skills required: assist with vaginal delivery, circulate for C-section, high-risk antepartum care, labor and delivery, sterile vaginal exam; scrubbing for C-section is a bonus
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
