Description
Job Opportunity – Occupational Therapist – Portland, OR 97225
Start Date: September 28, 2026
Location: Portland, Oregon
Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (07:00 - 15:00), approximately 4 weekend days per month, block scheduling required, 13-week assignment
Highlights:
- Work in a large, 500+ bed short-term acute care teaching hospital with multiple accredited programs
- Collaborate with comprehensive interdisciplinary support teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- Utilize Epic charting system in a modern healthcare environment
- Serve adult and geriatric patient populations with diverse diagnoses
- Free parking provided on-site
- Opportunity to float between units for varied clinical experience
Requirements:
- Valid Oregon state license or compact license (must be in hand at time of submission)
- National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient acute care hospital experience (required – no exceptions)
- Experience with Epic charting system required
- Large acute care hospital employment background strongly preferred
- Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
- Skills in assessment, evaluation, discharge planning, patient/family education, plan of care development, home exercise programs, lifting and transfers, and safety protocols
- Must provide 2 professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
